Why I Ordered This Item
I wasn’t in the mood for coffee, but I still wanted something refreshing with a little caffeine to help me get through the afternoon. While looking over the menu at 7 Brew, the Black Tea caught my attention because it seemed like a lighter option that I could easily customize with different fruit flavours.
I ordered it iced with peach syrup to keep things simple, and in this review, I’ll share my honest thoughts on the taste, freshness, value, and whether it’s worth ordering over one of 7 Brew’s signature coffee drinks.
First Impression
My drink was ready quickly, just like every other visit I’ve had at 7 Brew. It came in a clear cup filled with ice, and the tea had a rich amber colour that looked fresh and inviting. Since I added peach syrup, there was a light fruity aroma that made it even more refreshing.
The presentation was simple, but the drink looked clean and well-made. It felt like the perfect choice for a warm day when I wanted something lighter than a creamy coffee.
What Does It Taste Like?
The first sip was crisp, smooth, and refreshing. The black tea had a bold but clean flavour without any bitterness, while the peach syrup added just enough sweetness to complement the tea instead of overpowering it.
I liked that the tea still tasted like tea rather than a sugary fruit drink. The balance between the rich tea and the fruity flavour made it easy to keep sipping. I can also imagine it tasting great with raspberry or mixed with lemonade for a refreshing Arnold Palmer.
If I ordered it again, I’d probably try peach and raspberry together with a splash of lemonade for an even brighter flavour.
Is It Worth the Money?
With prices starting at $5.03 for a small, $5.71 for a medium, and $6.39 for a large, I think the Black Tea offers excellent value. It’s more affordable than many specialty coffee drinks while still giving you plenty of customization options.
Compared with similar drinks from other coffee chains, I liked that the tea tasted fresh and wasn’t overly sweet. If you’re looking for a lighter, lower-calorie drink, it’s definitely worth the price.
